Support/Donations
We decided to take this trip around 2 ½ years ago and have decided that we are being called to provide some volunteer service as we travel. At first, we were skeptical concerning our ability to travel and enjoy the cultures, the history, and the beauty of this world while giving a portion of our time to helping people. As time moved on, however, we have become more and more certain that giving back to the people that we will meet is only going to further our enjoyment and our sense of connection with the places we will end up. Many of the countries that we will visit such as India, China, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Nepal, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Jordan, Syria, Israel, Egypt, and Morocco are among the least visited countries in the world although they contain a significant portion of the world’s population. The main focus that we are feeling called towards is to work with children and staff in orphanages and in other group home or children’s social service settings. We hope to use skills developed through our work experiences in order to assist the disadvantaged, impoverished, and otherwise afflicted people that we will meet during our journey. Craig is a certified MANDT trainer (a system based upon teaching staff and persons served in social services or other business settings how to build healthy relationships as well as certain psychological and behavioral essentials helpful in creating a positive atmosphere) and plans to train and certify individuals served as well as staff in facilities around the world in the MANDT system (http://www.mandtsystem.com/). Jennifer has a strong background in healthcare and hopes to provide training and guidance regarding various healthcare needs to those we will serve. We both will also partake in helping to fill various other needs for the people we will serve such as: helping to provide for basic human needs (food, shelter, and clothing), providing insight, as well as treating those we meet with love, respect, and dignity.
We would appreciate any assistance that you can provide for our efforts. Some things that we need are: encouragement, financial assistance, boxed goods sent to the places that we will visit, or any other method in which you would like to help us. We are currently without sponsors for the 18-month trip and would appreciate any sponsorship you could provide for us. We will post links to the websites of the various places where we volunteer, the addresses of those places, and a list of their current needs on this site under a “HELP THEM” page. We ask that you check this list (if interested) frequently and consider sponsoring or providing gifts for these people. You never know how your simple thoughtful gift may be used to assist someone on the other side of the world! Thank you for your time, consideration, and for any support that you will provide us along our way.

- Cultural Exploration - Museums, operas, ballet, village visits, etc.

Being the nerd/behavioral guru (ha ha) that Craig is, he decided to make it more interesting by having levels of donation, corresponding titles, and rewards for each level. The three levels and rewards are:
- $1-$100 - An official Alsupsworldtravels.com certificate, a handwritten “thank you” card, and a professional (almost) quality 5 x 7 picture of your choice when we return.
- $101-$300 - An official Alsupsworldtravels.com certificate, a handwritten “thank you” card, a framed 8 x 10 picture of your choice when we return, and a copy of our journal pages from the country of your choice.
- $301+ - An official Alsupsworldtravels.com certificate, a handwritten “thank you” card, a picture CD with the pictures from any 3 countries of your choice, vacation planning assistance for 2 years from the two of us, and a presentation/question and answer session including journal entries, pictures, and stories from our travels.
In addition to these rewards, anyone who donates to help us will also have their name and donation level placed on our website (unless they wish to remain anonymous) and a mention in our book that we plan to write and publish concerning our journey. If you have a business that would like to donate, we would love to place a picture of you with your business name on the Supporters page also (preferably with you handing us a check). To do this, just go to the Contact page and we will set up a time (if you are close to Mississippi or if we will be traveling to your town).
